2. Hosting and Server Log Files

This website is hosted by STRATO (STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany). When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically collects technical information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits. This includes, for example, IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, browser used and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure operational security (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest in a functioning website). The data is not merged with other data sources.

Fonts and icons of this website are loaded from our own server. No connection to Google or other third parties is made.

3. Contact and Booking Inquiries

If you contact us by email or via the booking form, your details (name, email address, phone number if provided, date, place and type of event, and your message) are sent to us by email and stored in order to process your inquiry. You will receive an automatic confirmation by email. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual inquiry or initiation of a contract, e.g. for booking inquiries) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. for contracts that have been concluded) apply.

To protect against abuse, the form limits the number of requests per visitor. For this purpose, a hash value of your IP address that cannot be reversed is stored briefly and is deleted automatically after one hour at the latest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

For the internal calculation of the distance to the venue, the place you enter in the form is sent to the geocoding service Nominatim of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). The request is made from our server and contains neither your name nor your contact details. Please enter only the city or venue in the “Place” field where possible, not private addresses, if you prefer not to share them.

4. Song Request Page

Visitors can send song requests via the song request page during an event. The request (text), optionally the name you provide, the time and, if a suggestion is selected, the address of the cover image are stored. The requests are visible only to the operator and are used for planning the set and, anonymously, for evaluating past events (statistics). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in shaping the program). Providing a name is voluntary. On request, we will delete your requests and names from the archive.

To prevent abuse, a short waiting period applies between two requests. For this purpose, a hash value of your IP address that cannot be reversed is stored for one hour at most.

Song Search via Apple (iTunes Search)

When you type in the search field of the song request page, your search term and your IP address are transmitted directly from your browser to Apple’s search service (Apple Distribution International Limited, Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland) in order to receive title suggestions. The cover images of the suggestions are loaded from Apple servers (mzstatic.com). Use is voluntary: you can also type in and submit your request freely without a suggestion. The query is only made once you enter at least two characters. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (convenient title selection). Further information: apple.com/legal/privacy.

5. Photo Galleries and Photo Hearts

The galleries show photos of events in which visitors may also be visible. The photographers are credited by name. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in documenting and presenting the events). If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, please send us a short message at impressum@djmadcut.de. We will remove the photo promptly.

A heart can be given below the photos. No registration is required for this. Only the number of hearts per photo is stored on the server. Your browser remembers locally which photos you have already given a heart (see section 8). To protect against abuse, a hash value of your IP address that cannot be reversed is stored briefly (10 minutes at most). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

6. Embedded External Content and Services

When the following content is loaded, your browser retrieves data directly from the servers of the providers named, which technically results in your IP address being transmitted:

Instagram Posts (Meta)

The homepage displays our latest Instagram posts. Our server retrieves which posts these are. Your browser loads the images from the servers of Instagram or Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland). Your IP address is transmitted in the process. No Instagram plugins are embedded. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. More information: privacycenter.instagram.com/policy.

YouTube Videos (Mixes Section)

Our server retrieves the list of the latest videos from the public feed of the YouTube channel. No YouTube player is embedded and no cookie is set. Your browser loads the thumbnails from YouTube servers (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), and your IP address is transmitted in the process. When you click a video, you are redirected to YouTube, where Google’s privacy policy applies. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Maps (Event Pages)

A map of the venue can be shown on event pages. It is only loaded when you click “Load map”. The map is then embedded from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited), and data, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google. Google may set cookies in the process. Without your click, no transmission takes place. The legal basis is your consent by clicking (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by reloading the page. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

Links to Social Networks and Platforms

Links to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, SoundCloud and Twitch are simple references. Data is only transmitted to these providers once you click a link. Their privacy policies then apply.

Other data that our server retrieves itself (e.g. dates from the calendar, Twitch live status) contains no data of visitors to this website.

7. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not set any cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics). A cookie consent is therefore not required.

8. Local Storage in the Browser

Your browser stores locally on your device (local storage) whether you have chosen dark mode and which gallery photos you have given a heart. This information does not leave your device, is not evaluated and is technically necessary for these settings to work (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

9. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to information about your stored personal data, to its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, as well as a right to object to processing and a right to data portability (Art. 15–20 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen).

10. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy is updated whenever the website or the services used change. The current version published on this page applies.
